Coverage 101
What you’re actually buying.
Insurance jargon is mostly there because of legal precedent, not because it’s helpful. Here’s what each of our four lines actually covers, in plain English.
AutoWhat auto insurance actually covers
Liability pays for the other person’s injuries + property when you’re at fault. Collision repairs your own car after a crash. Comprehensive covers everything that’s not a crash — theft, hail, falling tree, fire. Uninsured motorist pays you when the at-fault driver has nothing.
HomeWhat home insurance actually covers
Dwelling rebuilds your house. Personal property replaces what’s inside. Liability covers you if someone gets hurt on your property. Loss-of-use pays for a hotel + meals if your home becomes unlivable.
LifeWhat term life actually covers
Term life pays your beneficiary a tax-free lump sum if you die during the term. That’s it. The simplicity is the feature. After the term ends you can renew, convert, or shop — no penalty.
PetWhat pet insurance actually covers
Accidents (broken bones, foreign-body surgery), illness (chronic + hereditary), dental, behavioral therapy, prescription medication, imaging (MRI/CT/X-ray), and cancer treatment including chemo. Routine wellness is usually a separate add-on.
